Hey everyone! Welcome back to another Do It Yourself from all of us here at ToolPartsDirect.com. Today we’re going to learn how to change the brushes in a Dewalt Miter Saw.

Tools You Will Need:

Phillips Screwdriver

Flat Head Screwdriver

Let’s get started!

Step 1:

First thing you need to do is take your Phillips Screwdriver and unscrew the end cap from the saw.

Step 2:

Alright, now with the end cap removed, locate the brush caps on your saw. Now, take your flat head screw driver and unscrew the brush cap.

Now, grab the spring and pull the brush out from the saw.

Step 3:

Now that the old brush has been removed, go ahead and install the new brush into your saw.

Step 4:

Once the brush is installed into the saw, use your flat head screwdriver to screw the brush cap back into place. Be careful not to overtighten the brush cap. It just needs to be snug.

Step 5:

Now, repeat the process on the other side of the saw.

Step 6:

Finally, test the saw to make sure it works and screw the end cap back onto the saw.

And there you have it! We hope this helped you save some time and money. Make sure you keep an eye for future content, including more how to articles from all the staff here at ToolPartsDirect.com.
