Hey everybody! Welcome back to another edition of our Do It Yourself articles which we hope will help you get your tools back in working order promptly while also saving some money. Today, we’re going to show you how to replace the brushes in a circular saw with brush caps.

Before we get started, you will need a flat head screwdriver and a pick to service your tool.

Step 1:

Take your flat head screwdriver and begin unscrewing the brush caps from the saw.

The brush cap will fall out, revealing the brush inside.

Step 2:

Take your pick and very carefully, pull the brush from the saw.

With just enough force, the brush should pop right out.

Go ahead and remove the brush with your fingers.

Step 3:

Now that you have removed the old brush, it’s time to replace it with a new one. Take the new brush and using your fingers, gently insert it into the saw.

It should look like this.

When the new brush is installed into the saw, it’s time to

replace the brush cap as well.

Step 4

Once that’s done, take your flat head screwdriver and screw the cap into the saw.

Should look like this when you’re done.

It’s that simple! Hopefully this saves you some time and some money. Be on the lookout for more how to videos from ToolPartsDirect.com!
