Hey there! Welcome back to another Do It Yourself article from all the staff here at ToolPartsDirect.com. Today, we’re going to show you how to replace a belt in a Porter Cable belt sander.

Tools You Will Need:

Phillips Screwdriver

Alright! Let’s get started.

Step 1:

First, take your Phillips Screwdriver and begin unscrewing the four screws holding the outer cover in place.

Step 2:

Now that the outer cover is removed, take the new belt and with the tooth side down, place the belt on the gears.

Make sure you start by placing the belt on the small gear first.

Step 3:

You may have to work the belt onto the gears. Spin the gears to make sure the belt is secure.

Step 4:

Once the belt is secure, replace the outer cover on the sander.

Screw the outer cover to the sander.

And there you have it. We want to invite you to check out prior Do It Yourself articles on the blog. Also, be on the lookout for future content from all of us here for ToolPartsDirect.com.
