Welcome back to another Do It Yourself article brought to you from all the staff here at ToolPartsDirect.com! Today, we’re going to show you how to replace the brushes in a Porter Cable Belt Sander. Before we start, make sure you have the right tools for the job!

Tools you will need:

Phillips Head Screwdriver

Flat Head Screwdriver

Alright! Let’s get started!

Step 1:

Start with using your Phillips Screwdriver to remove the screws from the sander’s casing. Make sure the sander is off and unplugged before start!

Step 2:

Use your flat head screwdriver to unscrew the brush cap from the sander. The brush will pop right out.

Step 3:

Once the brush is removed, take the new brush. Compress the spring and hold it in place until you cover it with the brush cap.

Now, screw the cap backwards to seat the brush and spring inside. Then, tighten it up with your flat head screwdriver.

Step 4:

Finally, take the outer cover and put it back on the sander. Then, screw the screws back into place.

And there you have it! Hopefully, this article saved you some time and money. Please look at and share our prior articles with your friends and be on the lookout for other content in the future from all of us here at ToolPartsDirect.com.
