Hey there again! Welcome back to another Do It Yourself article brought to you from all of us here at ToolPartsDirect.com. Today, we’re going to show you how to replace the brushes in a Skil table saw.

Tools You Will Need:

Flathead Screwdriver

Before we start, make sure your table saw is unplugged and your power switch is set to the “OFF” position. Once that’s done, let’s dive right in!

Step 1:

Tilt your table saw with the motor facing you. This is so you can have more room to work with. You will see both brush caps on each side of the motor.

Take your flathead screwdriver and begin unscrewing the brush caps from the motor. Be careful. The caps are brittle.

Step 2:

Now, do the same thing on the other side.

The brushes should look something like this.

Step 3:

Once that’s done, insert the brushes back into the table saw. The brushes will only fit one way. Once the brushes are in, install the caps.

Now, do the other side.

Once the brushes are in, plug it in and test it out. And there you have it! Hopefully, this article saved you some time and money. Make sure you keep an eye out for future content from all the staff here from ToolPartsDirect.com.
