Hey there! Welcome back to another Do It Yourself article from all of us here at ToolPartsDirect.com. This time we are going to show you how to replace the brushes in a Skil Wormdrive.

Tools You Will Need:

Flat Head Screwdriver

Let’s get started!

Step 1:

First, take your screwdriver and begin unscrewing the brush caps from tool.

Remove the brush caps, but be careful. They may be brittle.

Step 2:

Now, take the spring and pull the brush from the tool.

Step 3:

Turn your tool over and unscrew the other brush cap. Then, grab the spring and pull the brush free.

Step 4:

Now that your old brushes are removed, take your new brush, compress the spring and install them back into the tool. The brushes only fit one way.

Step 5:

Using your screwdriver, hold the spring in place and insert the brush cap into its slot.

Spin the cap backwards to seat the brush and spring inside. Then, use your screwdriver to tighten the brush cap. Don’t forget to do the other side.

And that’s that! We hope you enjoyed today’s article and we invite you to check it prior Do It Yourself articles on the blog as well. Make sure you keep an eye out for future content from all the staff here at ToolPartsDirect.com.
