Hello there again! Welcome back to another Do It Yourself article brought to you from all of us here at ToolPartsDirect.com! Today, we’re going to show you how to replace the brushes on a Delta Portable Planer.

Tools You Will Need:

Flathead Screwdriver

Before we start, as always, make sure the planer is powered down and unplugged! Also, make sure you have your safety key in. Remember, safety first! Alright! Let’s get started!

Step 1:

Locate the Allen wrench on your planer. It should be in the back. Take your wrench and remove the screws.

Once the screws are unscrewed, remove the dust cover.

Step 2:

Once that’s done, locate the brush caps and brushes. Use your flathead screwdriver to unscrew the brush caps.

After that, simply pull out the brushes.

Step 3:

Install your new brushes into the planer. They only fit one way.

Once the brushes are in, screw in the brush caps.

Step 4:

Re-install and screw in the dust cover.

Finally, screw in the screws and attach the Allen wrench to the back of the planer.

Remove the safety key, plug it in and test it out.

And there you have it! Hopefully, this article has saved you some time and money. Be on the lookout for future content from all the staff here at ToolPartsDirect.com!
