Hello again! Welcome back to another Do It Yourself article from all of us here from ToolPartsDirect.com! Today, we’re going to show you how to replace the gauges on a Porter Cable compressor.

Tools You Will Need:

Torx Screwdriver

Mini-Wrench

Teflon Tape

Before we begin, as always, make sure your compressor is unplugged and your power switch is set to the “OFF” position. Remember, safety first! Once you have that done, let’s dive right in.

Step 1

First, drain your tank and pull your safety valve from the compressor.

Step 2:

Next, take your screwdriver and unscrew the screw securing the cover between the gauges. Remove the cover.

Step 3:

Now, take your wrench and twist the gauges off.

Step 4:

Wrap one layer of Teflon tape on both gauge’s threads and make sure its wrapped in the same direction as the thread.

Step 5:

Now, screw the gauges in by hand. Make sure they’re snug, but don’t overtighten. You can use your wrench if you need to.

Make sure the gauges are facing towards you when you’re done tightening.

Step 6:

Finally, place and screw in the gauge cover.
