Hello again! Welcome back to another Do It Yourself article brought to you from all the web staff here at ToolPartsDirect.com. This time we’re going to show you how to replace the switch on a Skil Table Saw.

Tools You Will Need:

Torx Screwdriver

Needle Nose Pliers

As always, before we start, make sure your table saw is unplugged and the switch is in the “OFF” position. We want you to be safe! Alright! Let’s get started!

Step 1:

First, use your screwdriver to remove the two screws on the base of the saw and the third screw below the switch.

Step 2:

Now, turn your table saw to its side and remove the cover protecting the wires.

Step 3:

Pull the switch through the opening and take note where each wire is plugged in. You don’t want to mix them up.

Use your pliers pull the wires from the switch. Once again, don’t mix up the wires.

Remove the old switch.

Step 4:

Now, attach and install your new switch. Make sure it’s wired correctly.

Insert the switch and the wires through the opening until it’s secure.

Step 5:

Re-insert the cover to protect the wires underneath the table saw. This will take some finesse, but it should go on.

Finally, replace the three screws and you’ll be all set.

And there you have it! Hopefully, this article saved you some time and money. Make sure you keep an eye out for future content from all of us here at ToolPartsDirect.com!
